What is ACC/PCC Mentor Coaching?
Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential incorporates coaching and personalized feedback in a collaborative and appreciative process based on observed or recorded coaching sessions to increase the coach’s confidence and capabilities as a coach in alignment with the newly revised ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Mentor Coaching is required when renewing or seeking a new ICF Credential.

Mentor Coaching is a virtual program. You will work in group and one-on-one sessions with an experienced ICF-credentialed Mentor Coach (PCC or MCC) with feedback grounded in real-world coaching scenarios. You will also benefit from the academic excellence and reputation of Rice University.

Program Structure (3 Months)
Group Mentor Coaching (7 Hours + 0.5 Hours Celebration)
Five live Zoom sessions (1.5 hours each)
- Small group (max 10 participants)
- Led by an experienced ICF-credentialed Mentor Coach
- Focus on Core Competencies, coaching demonstrations, peer practice, feedback, and reflection
- Individual Mentor Coaching (3 hours total)
Two 1:1 coaching sessions with your Mentor Coach (1.5 hours each)
- Real-time review and reflection on up to two recorded coaching sessions (transcripts optional, encouraged)
- Tailored feedback mapped to the ICF Core Competencies & Code of Ethics

Summer 2026
Five Group Sessions (5:30 - 7:00 PM CT)
- Group Session 1: May 26, 2026
- Group Session 2: June 16, 2026
- Group Session 3: July 7, 2026
- Group Session 4: July 28, 2026
- Group Session 5: Aug 18, 2026
Two Individual 1:1 Sessions (3 hours total)
- Sessions will be scheduled directly with your assigned mentor coach between July 28 and October 3, 2026.
Fall 2026
Five Group Sessions (5:30 - 7:00 PM CT)
- Group Session 1: September 8, 2026
- Group Session 2: September 29, 2026
- Group Session 3: October 20, 2026
- Group Session 4: November 10, 2026
- Group Session 5: December 1, 2026
Two Individual 1:1 Sessions (3 hours total)
- Sessions will be scheduled directly with your assigned mentor coach between November 10 and January 29, 2027.
Spring 2027
Five Group Sessions (5:30 - 7:00 PM CT)
- Group Sessions – all from 5:30 – 7:00 PM CT
- Group Session 1: February 9, 2027
- Group Session 2: March 2, 2027
- Group Session 3: March 23, 2027
- Group Session 4: April 13, 2027
- Group Session 5: May 4, 2027
Two Individual 1:1 Sessions (3 hours total)
- Sessions will be scheduled directly with your assigned mentor coach between April 13 and July 19, 2027.
