Coaching Others Cohort
The Doerr Institute’s Coaching Others Cohort is an intensive leader development experience in which participants will work to internalize a coaching mindset and demonstrate foundational coaching skills as outlined by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Through these Leadership Cohorts, participants will experience a variety of Doerr Institute programs and have exclusive access to tailored offerings and experts. Participants will also receive 28 hours of CCE credits that they can use toward the ICF accreditation portfolio path.
Learning Goals
After participating in this cohort, the leader will be able to demonstrate the following:
- a coaching mindset approach to leadership
- foundational coaching skills in a conversation recording
- foundational knowledge by passing the CoachRice final assessment.
Eligibility
- Complete Activation (one-on-one coaching program) to apply.
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students at Rice University.
Dates and Details
If you are selected for the 2023-2024 Coaching Others cohort, you must be available to attend the following sessions. These sessions are scheduled to take place in person. We are monitoring guidance from Rice University administration and will transition to a virtual delivery only if circumstances force us to do so.
- Session 1: Tuesday, September 19th, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
- Session 2: Tuesday, October 3rd, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
- Session 3: Tuesday, October 17th, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
- Session 4: Tuesday, October 31st, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
- Session 5: Monday, January 22nd, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
- Session 6: Monday, February 5th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
- Session 7: Monday, February 12th , from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
- Session 8: Monday, February 26th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
