What is Activation?
Create your own leader development plan with a professional leadership coach! Fortune 500 companies invest in professional leadership coaches to help them enhance their leadership skills and overall impact, and the Doerr Institute offers this to all Rice students for FREE!
Activation includes:
- One-on-one sessions with a professional leadership coach over the course of a semester (one 90-minute session and three 60-minute sessions).
- Emotional intelligence assessment, report and debrief
- Co-created leadership plan to help you grow as a leader including leadership goals and tactics to achieve them
- Flexible hours! Sessions are based on your schedule
- Virtual or in-person
New to Doerr?
Activation is a great way to learn about yourself as a leader and articulate your vision for how you want to lead at Rice. It can be a great way to think "big-picture" about how you want to grow and make an impact.
Students are only permitted to take Activation once during their Rice career.
Already taken Doerr programs?
Activation is perfect for evaluating where you currently are as a leader and what your next steps should be. You're also encouraged to bring real leadership context to coaching sessions, so that Activation while in a formal leadership position can have a huge impact.
