Welcome to Mentor Coaching at the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University! We are delighted to have you join us on this next step in your professional coaching journey.
What is Mentor Coaching?
Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential incorporates coaching and personalized feedback in a collaborative and appreciative process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s confidence and capabilities as a coach in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies and newly revised Code of Ethics. Mentor Coaching is required when renewing or seeking a new ICF Credential.
CoachRICE Mentor Coaching I (Foundations) is intentionally designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can deepen your understanding of yourself as a coach and solidify your foundational coaching skills in a small group setting of peers and one-on-one with a seasoned ICF-credentialed Mentor Coach. You will receive specific written and/or verbal feedback using real-world examples from the sessions to help you identify your strengths as well as areas for focused practice and growth – all in alignment with the rigor and reputation of a Rice University education.
