The Doerr Student Ambassador program was formed to create a community of campus leaders dedicated to Doerr's mission of elevating the leadership capacity of Rice students.
Ambassadors are undergraduate and graduate student leaders at Rice that serve as representatives for the Doerr Institute. As an Ambassador, you gain access to special leader development programs and network with top student leaders on campus.

Applications for 2024-2025 Student Ambassadors have closed. We will be announcing our new class of Ambassadors in April 2024.
Ambassador Perks:
- A second semester of One-on-One Coaching
- Network with fellow top leaders at Rice

Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student
- A commitment to leadership development
- A passion for sharing your Doerr experiences
- Completed one or more Doerr Institute programs (Activation, Synthesis, Catalyst, CoachRICE, Excursions)
Duties:
- Attend monthly meetings
- Attend the Ambassador Kickoff event in August and January
- Host two info sessions each year for your college
- Assist with Doerr marketing events
- Assist with Doerr special events
Commitment:
- 6 hours in the first month of the semester
- 1 hour a month for the rest of the semester
You have the option to represent a club, sport, or residential college on campus, so please list all your student activities on your application.
If selected, you are expected to serve for the 2024-2025 academic year.
